Mosquitos are one of the most annoying and deadly pests around the world. Malaria, West Nile, Zika Virus, and other mosquito transmitted diseases affect millions around the world every year. Just this month, the Louisiana Dept. of Health has confirmed two cases of West Nile Virus in the Arklatex. West Nile can cause fever, headache, neck stiffness, tremors, and muscle weakness, although many people infected by it won’t show symptoms. There is no cure for West Nile, so preventing infection is important.
Prevent Mosquito Bites:
-Get rid of standing water around your house
-Wear mosquito repellant if you’re going to be outside at dawn or dusk
-Make sure to seal any cracks or crevices in the foundation, walls, or window screens
-We spray for mosquitos on private property
